Inscribed to James Joyce’s sister; John D. Sheridan, Paradise Alley. First edition, Dublin 1945. Scarce signed first printing. Dust wrapper chipped at edges with some slight loss. Inscribed by the author to Sister Mary Gertrude ( eldest sister of James Joyce) on the from end paper, referring to her time 'working in the district thinly described as Paradise Alley' i.e. her tenure in the north inner city of Dublin in 1908. She would later leave for New Zealand never returning to Ireland
